Subtropical Depression One forms in Atlantic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The first tropical system of 2017 in the Atlantic has formed.

Subtropical Depression One formed Wednesday.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the system has maximum sustained winds of 30 knots (35 MPH) and Minimum Central Pressure of 995 mb as of 11 a.m.

It's currently a little over 2,000 miles due east of Savannah, Georgia and moving North-Northeast at 7 knots (8 MPH).
