TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Crews with the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a house fire on Bay Cedar Drive Saturday night, the third residential fire reported in the area this week.

Firefighters arrived at the home around 10:00 p.m. and found heavy smoke and an active blaze. Deputies with the Leon County Sheriff's Office had already removed a disabled occupant from the home when fire crews arrived.

Two people were treated on the scene by Leon County EMS for smoke inhalation. Two dogs were also rescued from the home.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire was a window mounted AC/Heating unit. Damages are estimated at $10,000.

A home on Winged Foot Drive was completely destroyed in a fire Friday night.

Crews with the Tallahassee Fire Department also worked a fire in the 800 block of Delaware Street on Wednesday.
