TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Tallahassee Police unveiled a new patrol car wrap Thursday morning to bring awareness to human trafficking.
The reveal comes on Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
U.S. Attorney Christopher Canova says human trafficking is happening in Tallahassee, not just in bigger cities. Canova adds that the interstate and the internet make it easier for traffickers to commit crimes.
"So they can come into a city, advertise and be gone in a few days and try to stay one step ahead of law enforcement," Canova said. "But our law enforcement are very vigilant in this. They often times, in undercover capacities, respond to some of these ads and a lot of times that's how we're able to rescue some of these victims."
