Tallahassee man killed in Friday night shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has identified the victim in a fatal Friday night shooting.

19-year-old Derrick L. Curtis Jr. passed away from injuries he sustained during the shooting.

Officers say the shooting took place around 10:15 p.m. on Friday night in the 1100 block of South Magnolia Drive.

The case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit. At this time they are interviewing all known witnesses and processing the evidence collected from the scene.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night.

According to TPD, the shooting occurred in the 1100 block of South Magnolia Drive around 10:15 p.m.

Officers say arriving officers and emergency personnel provided immediate attention to the victim, but the victim died due to their sustained injuries.
