Tallahassee bicyclist injured in crash passes away at hospital

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A family member says a Tallahassee woman who was critically injured in a bicycle crash earlier this month has passed away from her injuries.

63-year-old Marlene Larmore had been hospitalized since the April 1st crash. The Florida Highway Patrols says she was riding her bicycle when she collided with a vehicle at an intersection on Oak Ridge Road.

The family member tells WCTV that Larmore passed away at Tallahassee Memorial on Sunday.

The family is asking that donations in Larmore's memory be made to the Refuge House.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Tallahassee woman is critically injured after a Saturday morning crash.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, it happened around 11:30 a.m. on Oak Ridge Road.

Troopers say a minor was driving east on the road, approaching an intersection with a bicycle crossing. 63-year-old Marlene Larmore was also approaching the intersection on a bicycle when she failed to stop at the stop sign, hitting the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Larmore was thrown from the bicycle, landing in the road.

The driver got out of the car and rendered aid to Larmore. She was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Charges are pending.
