THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) -- A big shake up in the high school coaching ranks came down on Thursday, as Thomas County Central announced they've hired Ashley Henderson as their next head football coach.
Henderson goes to TCC from Valwood, where he went 66-16 in six seasons, winning three GISA state titles. The Valiants went 10-3 last year and won the GISA crown over Trinity Christian.
He'll replace former head coach Bill Shaver, who stepped down after winning just three games this past year.
Valwood moved quickly to fill the vacancy, announcing the promotion of defensive coordinator and Ashley's brother Justin Henderson, to the head coaching position.
