MARIANNA, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man on drug charges following a traffic stop.
JCSO says a deputy on patrol Monday night observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
Authorities say once the deputy made contact with the driver, 22-year-old Patrick Themar, he smelled marijuana coming from the car, and proceeded to conduct a probable cause search of the vehicle.
Deputies say they recovered marijuana and 11.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine during the search, along with several unused and sealed bags, which led authorities to believe there was intent to sell and distribute illicit narcotics.
According to JCSO, deputies discovered Themar's driver's license was suspended indefinitely, and placed him under arrest at the end of the traffic stop.
Themar has been charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with less than 20 grams, driving while license suspended with knowledge.
