HAMILTON CO., Fla. (WCTV) – A 93-year-old woman is in the hospital after she was injured by a falling tree.
The Hamilton County sheriff says strong winds from Tropical Storm Irma toppled an oak tree at the home of Faye Hill, along Northwest County Road 148, north of Jasper.
The tree crashed through the roof of the bedroom where Hill was sleeping, and a limb knocked her out of bed, according to the sheriff.
Hill was taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville. There’s no word on her condition.
