Two men facing drug charges following traffic stop

LIBERTY CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- Two local men are facing charges after being found in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in Liberty County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers pulled over a vehicle on State Road 65 near State Road 20 for speeding.

During the traffic stop, troopers discovered the driver of the car was in possession of approximately 50 grams of marijuana. 23-year-old James Wesley Rimes, of Tallahassee, was arrested and booked into the Liberty County Jail for felony possession of marijuana over 20 grams.

The passenger, 31-year-old Johnathan Green, of Crawfordville, was found carrying less than 20 grams of marijuana. He was issued a notice to appear in court for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and was released from the scene without incident.
