25-year-old Timothy Wiggins was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Miami Thursday morning.

Wiggins was wanted by Valdosta Police on an arrest warrant for the murder of 25-year-old Anthony Barber. Barber was found dead in the back yard of a residence on Ricardo Street in August.

VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Two Valdosta murders in two days are now believed to be connected.

Valdosta Police have been searching for 25-year-old Timothy Jerome Wiggins in the shooting death of 25-year-old Anthony Barber, since Barber's body was found behind a vacant rental home last Monday.

Authorities say someone found the body while checking out the Ricardo Street rental home.

Now investigators say they believe the shooting was in connection with the shooting death of Damaria Hill on Caldwell Drive the night before.

"This started, quite frankly, over a girl on Sunday and it escalated and continued on Monday, nothing more than that. It should not have happened. These two offenders took matter into their own hands and they shouldn't have done it," says Valdosta Police Chief, Brian Childress, who goes on to say his department is working with other surrounding agencies to locate Wiggins.

If you have seen Timothy Jerome Wiggins, contact the Valdosta Police Department at 229-242-2606.
