Wakulla County man killed in crash

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida Highway Patrol says a Sopchoppy man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Wakulla County this morning.

According to FHP, the crash happened around 6:48 a.m. Tuesday on US-319 (Sopchoppy Highway) near Carraway Cutoff.

Troopers say 29-year-old Tyler Ray Sanders was driving eastbound on US-319 in a Chevrolet 1500 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree on the north shoulder.

Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash report states that Sanders was not wearing a seatbelt.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Wakulla County EMS, and Wakulla County Fire Rescue.
