Banana Pudding Cake




Ingredients

Cake: Makes 3 layer cake

1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
5 eggs

2 cups cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Banana Pudding Filling:

1 box of banana cream instant pudding
1 16-oz of whipped topping
1 8-oz of Cream cheese
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk

You will also need:

2 bananas – sliced
1 box of vanilla wafers
1 2-oz banana moon pie – chop to bite size

Directions

Cake: Cream margarine, oil, and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs (one at a time). Combine flour and soda and add to Cream mixture. Add buttermilk, then vanilla. Mix well. Pour mix into 3 greased pans.

Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely.


Filling: Make filling by beating Cream cheese until smooth. Stir in banana cream pudding and condensed milk. Fold in whipped topping.

Finishing the cake: Place first layer on cake plate. Spread pudding filling, banana slices, chopped moon pie, and vanilla wafers across layer. Place next layer on top of filling. Repeat with pudding filling, banana slices, chopped moon pie, and vanilla wafers.

Final layer: frost top layer and side of cake with the remaining pudding filling. Use the remaining wafers along the top and side of the cake.
