Half gallon of your favorite egg nog
Fresh Italian bread
1 stick of butter
DirectionsCut the Italian loaf to your desired thickness. Day old bread is always better to use. Pour egg nog into a clean bowl. Dip each slice in the egg nog, allowing the liquid to seep to the middle. Place the prepped bread on cookie rack to fully absorb.
In a medium pan. On medium heat add a tablespoon of unsalted butter. Once butter is melted, place three pieces of bread in pan. Cook to the desired color. Serve with your favorite syrup and bacon and enjoy.
Remember, don't cook the bread to high. There might be a high amount of sugar in the store bought egg nog.
If you start having burnt pieces in your pan, take it off the eye and wipe it out with a paper towel or a kitchen towel. It's always better to start with a clean pan.
