Fresh Cherry and Peach Sauce


1 ½ cups fresh cherries, halved and pitted
3 tablespoons Pomegranate juice (or orange juice)
1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons cherry flavored brandy
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 ½ cups fresh peaches
Low fat ice cream or whipped topping


Add pitted, stemmed cherries to a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add all other ingredients, except for the peaches, and bring to a boil. Stirring occasionally, reduce heat and cook for 3 minutes. Add sliced peaches and cook for an additional minute.

Remove from heat and serve warm or store in an airtight container until ready to serve. Warm slightly before serving. Spoon over low fat ice cream or top fruit with whipped cream.
