Grilled Pound Cake and Peaches



Ingredients

Marinade/Glaze
1 T honey (Frenchtown Beez)
1 T Loquat Jam (Marie's Jellies and Jam's)
1 t pure vanilla
1 t oil
1/2 fresh lime (juiced)
1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ginger
2 ripe Florida or Georgia peaches
6 slices prepared pound cake

Directions

1. In a small bowl, combine the honey, oil, lime juice, vanilla, ginger and cinnamon and whisk to blend. Set aside.
2. Prepare a hot fire in a charcoal grill or heat a gas grill. Lightly coat the grill rack with cooking spray or, if inside, use a grill pan
3. Place cake slices onto the grill and cook for 1 minute each side. Set aside
4. Lightly brush fruit with the marinade. Grill or broil, turning once and basting once or twice with the remaining marinade, until slightly tender and marked, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
5. Reduce remaining marinade in a small pot and use as glaze.
Serve with ice cream or fresh whipped cream
