Morning Oatmeal Breakfast Bread



Ingredients

1¼ cup AP flour 1¼ cup applesauce
¾ cup brown sugar ⅓ cup melted butter
1 tsp. salt ¼ cup milk
1 tsp. baking soda 2 large eggs
1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup instant oatmeal
½ tsp. cinnamon ¼ cup raisins
¼ tsp. nutmeg ¼ cup walnuts

Topping:
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
¼ tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°
Grease and flour a loaf pan and set aside

In a small bowl mix together topping ingredients.

In a large bowl mix together flour, brown sugar, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well. Stir in oatmeal, raisins, and walnuts.

In a small bowl mix well with a fork, applesauce, butter, eggs, and milk. Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour in wet ingredients. Mix only until dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle on topping.

Bake 55-60 minutes. Allow to stand 6 hours before slicing.
