TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- "It sounds like a perfect fit," legendary FSU coach Bobby Bowden said when he sat down with WCTV's Julie Montanaro for an exclusive one-on-one interview.

"It was kind of like 'Thank you, Florida State, for hiring me, not like 'Look how lucky you are to have me," Bowden said of Taggart's comments at a press conference on Wednesday. "I like his attitude."

Bowden also knows it won't be an easy task for Taggart. When asked about what he thought the new coach's biggest challenge will be, Bowden answered "Probably trying to to follow Jimbo, because Jimbo was so successful."

"There'll be pressure," Bowden continued, "Now, if he was at Vanderbilt, there wouldn't be any pressure, but, he's at Florida State."

"We expect you to win at FSU," Bowden said. "And he wants that. You don't want a job where they don't care. They care here and he knows that. He's challenged by that. I can't wait to see how he does. I think he'll do good."

As for words of advice for the new head coach, Bowden didn't have much to offer. "I don't think he needs my advice, or anybody's. Just do the best you can and do it right."
