Florida State takes down Florida Gulf Coast, 86-80

ORLANDO (WCTV) -- The Florida State Seminoles beat out Florida Gulf Coast University in the Men's NCAA Tournament on Thursday night in Orlando, winning 86-80.

During the game, FGCU player and former Godby Cougar Demetris Morant suffered a leg injury and had to be helped off of the court with 17:19 remaining in the second half. Morant later returned to the bench with a walking boot on his right foot and crutches.

No. 3 seeded FSU now advances to play No. 11 seeded Xavier in the second round on Saturday.
