TCC Basketball hosts Capital Courtyard Classic November 17-19

Tallahassee Community College’s women’s basketball team will host the Capital Courtyard Classic Thursday-Saturday, November 17-19.

All games will take place at the Bill Hebrock Eagledome. General admission is $5 daily.

The ten-team field will be a mix of high school and college teams playing a total of 14 games over the three days.

Games are scheduled for 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. both Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday.

In addition to Tallahassee, the college half of the field will feature Georgia Highlands College, a 2016 NJCAA Tournament participant, West Georgia Technical College, who finished third in the 2016 NJCAA DIII Tournament, and IMG Academy.

FAMU DRS and Leon High School headline the six high school participants and will be joined by four strong independent programs – Forest Trail Academy (Kernersville, N.C.), IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), The Rock School (Gainesville, Fla.) and TPLS Christian Academy (Midlothian, Va.).

Leon and TPLS will tip things off at 11 a.m. Thursday followed by a 1 p.m. game between FAMU DRS and The Rock.

Tallahassee will play the 3 p.m. game each day – Thursday vs. West Georgia Tech, Friday vs. Georgia Highlands and Saturday vs. IMG Academy.

FAMU DRS and Leon will play the 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. games, respectively on Friday.

On the final day of the Classic, Leon will tip at 1 p.m. vs. The Rock while FAMU DRS will close the event with a 5 p.m. game against Forest Trail Academy.
