QUITMAN, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Trojans finished 2016 with an 8-4 record, and rattled off four straight wins to open the season.
Despite losing starting quarterback Mac Perry to an ACL injury last year, Brooks County played well into November, making the second round of the playoffs before falling by two scores to Callaway.
But, Perry - and a host of other players who fell victim to injury last season - are back and ready to go.
Maurice Freeman has his eyes set skyward for the Trojans for 2017, as nothing but being the best will satisfy him or Trojans fans.
"We need to be playing in December," Freeman said. "November is a failure for us. We need to be playing in December. Our dreams, our hopes, our work trying to win a state title."
