TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Florida State relief pitcher C.J. Van Eyk has been named to D1Baseball.com's All-Freshman Team.
Van Eyk was named to the All-Freshman Second Team after going 7-0 with a 2.86 ERA in his first year in Garnet and Gold. The Lutz, Florida native worked 65.2 innings and struck out 71 batters, holding the opposition to a .208 batting average.
Van Eyk also recorded two saves in 2018.
Two other ACC players were named to an All-Freshman team; NC State catcher Patrick Bailey was named to the First Team while UNC reliever Caden O'Brien joined Van Eyk on the second team.
