VIERA, Fla. (WCTV) -- After being selected seventh overall in April's draft, former Florida State infielder Jessie Warren has signed a two-year deal with the USSSA Pride of National Pro Fastpitch.
The Pride, who play in Viera, Florida, went 40-9 last year, but fell to the now-defunct Scrap Yard Dawgs in the league's title series.
Warren claimed the Women's College World Series Most Outstanding Player distinction in 2018, and hit .404 with 21 home runs and 70 RBI for the Noles during her senior year.
Warren is the third former Nole to play for USSSA, joining Jessica Burroughs and Alex Powers.
The Pride's season began on May 30, and are 9-0 and sit in second place behind the 10-0 Chicago Bandits.
FSU head coach Lonnie Alameda served as the Pride's head coach for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
