TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- New Florida A&M University head football coach Willie Simmons is adding a big name to his staff.
A source close to the situation tells WCTV's Kenny Morales that Miami Southridge head coach and FAMU alum Billy Rolle will be joining Simmons' staff.
Rolle has had a very successful high school coaching career in South Florida, winning a multiple state and national championships.
According to the source, Rolle has already signed an offer letter with FAMU and is now negotiating relocation expense details. He is expected to officially be on staff by January.
Initially, Booker T. Washington head coach Tim "Ice" Harris was also slated to join Simmons' staff, but a source has confirmed that the offer from FAMU was not enough for Harris to leave his current situation.
