TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- It seems like Tallahassee’s own David Ross is living a fairy-tale life right now and he has a best selling book to prove it.

Ross signed copies of his new book titled 'Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages' at the Barnes & Noble at the Centre of Tallahassee Thursday night. More than 300 fans showed up for the event which ran from 7 to 9pm.

Fans have become enamored with the Tallahassee product for various reasons. He's a hometown boy who's won a World Series with both Boston and the Chicago Cubs. Then, over the last few months, he captured a whole new fan base with his second place finish on 'Dancing with the Stars'. However, it's the fact he's remained an all-around "good guy" that's earning him the most praise.

"He’s just a class act!" Life-long David Ross fan Nick Foster says with his infant son in his arms, just happening to be wearing Cubs gear. "He's a role model for so many. We've followed him with the Cubs. We actually were at Wrigley Field in Chicago, so that was pretty exciting, it was his first Cubs game. When we found out he was going to be in Tallahassee, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see him," Foster says.

Don Yaeger, who also resides in Tallahassee and co-wrote the book with Ross, was at the signing too.

'Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages' is on sale now.
