We are reeling in the big one, the search is on for the best seafood of the Big Bend. So when heading out this weekend remember, we want you to help the Live at Five crew find the catch of the month!

We wanted to get the juices flowing so we took a trip to the coast to find some of the pearls of the sea.

Living in the Big Bend region we obviously had to head to the coast to try out some of the seafood.

Folks from all over flock to the forgotten coast to get some of their favorite foods from under the sea.

From mullet and grouper to shrimp pulled straight from the bay, it's seafood on the menu this month.

And preparation is key to bringing out the rich flavors of the sea.

Presentation, service and the atmosphere are just a few ingredients making mouths water.

We tried it all today, shellfish, crab and fish. And we had them blackened, grilled, and fried. We are pretty stuffed but we are leaving it up to you to tell us who has the best seafood of the Big Bend.

Some viewers already voted letting us know where we can find the pearls of the sea.

But let's keep fishing, go ahead and head to our web site and vote for the best seafood restaurant in the Big Bend.

Just click on the contests link and then the Best of the Big Bend Icon. You can vote through the month of February and then we will narrow it down to the top five and then the last Friday of the month we will bring you the mouthwatering video of the Best Seafood of the Big Bend.

Jimmy's Seafood Resturant in St. Marks is new, seafood is terrific, been there nine times with friends and family. All my referals also say "great food". This eating establishment is flying under the radar and will make it big in the Big Bend once word gets out. It is one our areas best kept secrets only because it new--check it out.

Once you eat at Forgotten Coast you will not forget the wonderful food and prices. An excellent seafood restaurant. Locally owned and operated with only fresh seafood. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

You must not have tried Angelo & Sons in Panacea if your rating the Coastal on your list, or you don't really know what good seafood is.

I think that the best seafood of the Big Bend is Shells Oyster Bar- Tallahassee off of S. Monroe St. The best crab claws I ever had, it is also very fresh.
