Usually it's an apple for the teacher, but today, it's a trophy for the teacher!

Yolanda Williams is WCTV's Teacher of the Month! She was surprised in her Godby High School classroom today with a trophy and over $200 dollars in gift cards. She received the title after students submitted essays and voted for her online.

"I think it's important to understand that we are competing for our children's attention to get them engaged in academics. That's why it's important we keep it stimulating, fun and invigorating daily," said Williams.
