TPD: Young Woman Injured in Drive By Shooting Identified
Investigators have identified the victim of the shooting as Sandashia C. Owens, a 19-year-old female. TPD continues to follow all leads and are currently seeking the identities of the male suspects.

Tallahassee, FL -- November 8, 2011 - 11:15am

Tallahassee Police Officers responded to 1104 Old Bainbridge Rd, Time Saver, at approximately 5:00PM this evening, in reference to shots fired in the parking lot.

The investigation revealed there was an altercation in the area and shots were fired.

A 19 year-old female standing in the area was shot. She was transported to the hospital for treatment.

UPDATE:

Investigators have identified the victim of the shooting as Sandashia C. Owens, a 19-year-old black female. TPD continues to follow all leads and are currently seeking the identities of the black male suspects.

TMH says the victim, Sandashia C. Owens, is in fair condition.

Sunday evening, a group of men shot at a convenience store on the 1100 block of Old Bainbridge Road. A young girl was hit, sending her to the hospital. Witnesses say the girl, who appeared to be around high school age, was just an innocent bystander.

Some bystanders on the scene tell Eyewitness News that the convenience store attracts a lot of trouble and they hope something is done to fix it. They also expressed their concern for the young girl.

We will continue to bring you information about her status and this entire case as it unfolds.

Tallahassee, FL -- November 6, 2011

Police have responded to a drive by shooting at the Times Saver Convenience Store on the 1100 block of Old Bainbridge Road and 4th Street. A witness tells WCTV that "a girl was shot." She does not think the girl was a target, but was in the line of fire. Police have not released any information at this time. We will bring you further details as they become available.

Crazy how they just get away from this. Another thing that's crazy is that they now have to pay for a high DR bill for something they had nothing to do with. I'm very sorry for her and her family, I pray for them. Be strong!

And you just may be a big part of the problem, Irritated. Saying it's fine to become a "slave" of the government, dependent on handouts? Tell me what kind of successful life you're going to have if you have a child out of wedlock when you're 17 or 18? Not much of one, even if you get every handout and grant available. It is not easy to RESPONSIBLY raise a child - takes a lot more than keeping them clean and fed. Especially during the teenage years, kids need TWO parents. People like you who condone this irresponsible kind of lifestyle are a HUGE part of the problem.
