Tallahassee Police are still on the hunt for the person who shot and killed a 22-year-old man Thursday night.

Tallahassee resident Randell Walker says he tried to make a quick trip to the corner store at Holton and Osceola Streets around 11:00 Thursday night.

He says, "Police had got there, had everything tapped off."

Police had been there since around 8:00 when they got a call that someone had been shot.

Officers say it was 22-year-old Corashun Houston.

Walker says, "It's getting bad. They need to patrol the area better or do something. Get these guns and stuff off the street. I'm kind of scared to even come out the house at night now with stuff like this happening all the time."

Police say Houston was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after the shooting, and ended up dying there.

Whoever killed him got away.

Area resident Janet Love says, "It's disappointing. Crime happens everywhere, but, when it's closer to home, it really affects you. It really makes you think, be more careful, be more observant."

Investigators say they've been talking to witnesses. Officers made sure to have a strong presence in the area on Friday.

Love says, "It's a community thing. We have to work together for things to be better."

We do not know a motive in this fatal shooting.

Police are still looking for the suspects.

Jackie and Kenny keep your head up and may the good lord above keep you strong. The whites are always wanting to talk bad about our black hoods, but they want to keep whats going on with them hush, hush and the media don't talk and keep the story going. What about the kids with the firearms at Columbine High School, Eric Harris and Dylan Kleblock that took all those people life's.What do that make them? THUGS'.Since you all want to make all us black people thugs. You all want to judge people, but do you know thy shall not judge, there is only one man who will do that. And it is not me are you,but it is the lord.So why you want to run your mouth remember god looks low and high. You people have no respect for the dead. But if you got children it could have been yours. And if people post some of this stupid stuff that ya'll are posting then you will think it is wrong. You want to talk about welfare but you got a whole lot of you white's getting more than some of us blacks. Some of us do work everyday and still need help. You may think that you are up high know. But one day you may be one of us needing welfare, never say never.May god bless you and touch your heart, cause judgement day is coming. And it will be to late to try and explain all that mess that you white folks want to say out of your mouth.God sees no color he see us as all his children. Let this young man rest in peace, and keep praying for the houston family for strength and guideness through this rough time. You all need god in your life's.
