Dean Burke New District 11 Georgia Senator
Updated: 02/05/2013 - In the 11th state Senate district -- spanning areas of southwest Georgia -- Republican Dean Burke won 58 percent of votes over Republican Mike Keown's 41.
Leon County has officially broken it's record from 2008.
According to election officials, 42,458 people voted early back during the '08 elections.
That was with 12 days of days to vote early.
This year, the record was broken with 45, 118 voters...with only eight days to vote early.
Close to 40 percent of all eligible Leon County voters, have already done so in this election.
