As the FSU soccer team sat patiently in the film classroom, it wasn't a question of if they would hear their name, but when.
FSU Sophomore Jessica Price says,
"It's definitely exciting. We put in a lot of hard work and we're getting recognized for it now."
FSU Junior Midfielder Amanda DaCoasta adds,
"It's good to be recognized. We worked really hard this season and played a lot of good teams so I think we're just excited to be at home."
A 16-4-1 record was good enough for the Seminoles to earn their first number one seed in school history.
FSU Senior Defender Becky Edwards adds,
"Playing at home, we're used to our facilities. We have an amazing field that we practice on every day, we're used to that kind of thing. Obviously our fans coming in and bringing that extra support is just awesome as well so I think we're thankful to be playing at home and looking forward to it."
FSU Head Soccer Coach Mark Krikorian adds,
"All the hard work that everyone puts in up to this point. This is when you need to have you "A" game and if we're smart enough, if we're prepared enough, if we play well enough then maybe we'll go far in this tournament, give ourselves a chance to get back to the Final Four."
Florida State is unbeaten at home in the NCAA playoffs, a perfect (15-0). They host Southeastern louisiana on Friday.
