With the first spring for Florida State football under new head coach Jimbo Fisher completed, the players will tell you, there was a different feel to practice.
FSU Junior Wide Receiver Bert Reed says,
"It was more up tempo. Guys got a lot of reps. You had to know what you were doing because you were going to get reps for sure. More guys studied the play book so more guys know what's going on now."
FSU Senior Quarterback Christian Ponder adds,
"He demanded a lot more out of us. He's such a perfectionist that he demands us to go out and practice well every day and that's making us better."
FSU Head Football Coach Jimbo Fisher adds,
"We have a lot of new guys coming in. We'll add to this and we'll have some good teaching tape. We'll move on and have a good summer and be ready to come back in the fall."
Former FSU Quarterback Brad Johnson adds,
"Him pumping up the spring game and bringing back that environment. With the way they finished last year by winning the bowl, it kind of says something for this year."
One hundred days have passed since Jimbo Fisher became head coach. Since then, the Seminole fan base has been reborn. In Saturday's spring game, 51,000 attended to support Coach Fisher's message "Bring Back Doak"! Leaving many to say, yes we can.
