The Thomasville Bulldogs know what it takes to be successful on the tennis courts.
Thomasville Sophomore Julia McElreath says,
"This year we have a really strong team, we have a lot of seniors and it's going pretty smoothly for us so far."
The Lady Bulldogs won it's third region 1-AA title in three years, while the boys placed third in the region.
Thomasville Head Tennis Coach Phil Slaughter adds,
"Senior have contributed and having some sophomores and freshman that are coming. We were able to do pretty good this year so I feel pretty good."
Thomasville Junior Garrison Hardy adds,
"We knew coming in that we were going to have a pretty tough match and we're just going out right n ow and we're executing."
For the senior ladies, they know what it takes to play at the highest level, having made the final four when they were sophomores.
Phil Slaughter adds,
"Seeing some good teams and they're used to the kind of state competition so we've got some experience there and that's always nice."
While the boys success has been a story in the making.
"We had a lot of seniors, a huge senior class graduate four years ago so we had most of the guys we have this year just started playing four years ago. We've just really been working hard and it's just been paying off well."
The wave of success these team experienced in the regular season continued onto past season play as both teams came away winners in the opening round of the state playoffs.
