The 2009 season made believers of Taylor County. The Bulldogs advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 2005, and although they suffered a first round loss, there's a new aura that surrounds spring practice.
Taylor County head football coach Shane Boggs says,
"I think success in anything in live starts with your belief level. I see some really good things there and I think we're believing in ourselves, we're playing with confidence and that kind of thing."
Taylor County senior center Josh Wells adds,
"You have everybody working hard and pulling on the same rope and that's what team work is. You can't win a game with one person. It has to be all eleven pulling on the same rope."
This mindset head lead to more productive practices with a great number of players. All people, as coach Boggs says, who want to be a part of a winner.
Shane Boggs adds,
"You have to believe you can be a champ in order to be one and certainly we have belief. I have that belief that we can go compete for a district championship this year."
Josh Wells adds,
"I just want people to have an idea of what we're doing and know that we're out here to win."
That will be the goal leading up to the start of fall camp and throughout the season.
