Governor Nathan Deal has signed a bill to allow military-trained nurses to practice in Georgia.
Deal signed House Bill 675 Thursday. It amends a state law not including the military in the list of state-approved nurse education programs.
The bill passed both the House and Senate unanimously. Lawmakers said the bill will help address a nursing shortage in the state.
