Early voting for the Presidential Primaries is underway at the Lowndes County Board of Elections. Over 235 people have voted so far and the numbers keep climbing.
One Democrat, President Obama, is on the Democratic ballot and 9 Republicans are in the running on the Republican ballot.
There are approximately 60,000 voters in Lowndes County. 205 Republicans and 30 Democrats have voted so far at the Board of Elections. You can also mail in your vote.
One early voter, Brenda Pone, said "a lot of people wait till the last minute and there's back up and they're complaining about having to wait. But if you come out when, you know, it's relaxed, you get in and you get out. It's easy. The process is very smooth."
The last day in Georgia to vote in the Presidential Primary is March 6 from 7AM to 7PM. Voting for the General Election begins November 6.
