Tallahassee, FL - Doctors say when it comes to alcohol, if you don't normally drink throughout the year you might experience what's called Holiday Heart Syndrome.

They say you could experience an irregular heart beat, that some mistake for a heart attack.

"They feel their heart going irregular, they feel it going fast, they feel dizzy, light headed, tired, sometimes they feel chest discomfort, shortness of breath but the most common sign is irregular heart rate," said Dr. Farhat Khairallah, a cardiologist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

If in doubt, or if symptoms persist, doctors insist that you seek medical attention, and to stop drinking.
