Tallahassee, FL - Bobby Cloud of Bainbridge, Georgia has had 499 cancerous lesions removed from all over his body. Tuesday, his doctor will take off six more.
"I'm God's walking miracle," said Bobby Cloud, a Skin Cancer survivor. "I am God's walking miracle."
Cloud got 98% of skin cancer removed from his face and two percent from his arms and neck and now he is speaking out to tell his personal story.
"The first probably occurred when I was around 15," said Cloud. "I wanted to get this message out that you can survive Skin Cancer If you get them on time."
Cloud went to dozens of doctors over the years. He says one doctor did not treat him with the right medical care, which made him lose his left eye. Fortunately, he says Doctor Armand Cognetta saved his life.
"Doctor Cognetta is also my best friend," said Cloud. "He is one of my best friends."
Doctor Cognetta treats high risk skin cancer patients, but says Cloud's case is a rarity in most practices. He says to avoid the disease you must take precaution.
"Tanning beds were recently named a carcinogen by the World Health Organizations," said Armand Cognetta, M.D. Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee. "If you have a lot of moles and If you have any family history of Melanoma get checked by a dermatologist. "
Cloud recommends just keeping the faith and being with family.
