Tallahassee, FL - Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women.
October is national breast cancer awareness month and Colette Washington, event chair of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer has stopped by WCTV to talk about how a diagnosis can change lives.
One in eight can expect to be diagnosed in her lifetime, 200,000 women will be diagnosed each year, and 40,000 plus will die of the cancer.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a community walk to raise money for breast cancer research. The walk will take place October 20th at Southwood, and WCTV will be there. Come walk with us and help make a difference!
