September 12, 2012 - Researchers have identified the farm where a deadly Salmonella outbreak started that infected 178 people including a Lowndes County girl. That Southwestern Indiana farm as been identified as "Chamberlain Farms" in Owensville. The "Food And Drug Administration" confirms the outbreak came from infected cantaloupe that spread to 21 states and killed two people. That farm has stopped producing and distributing the fruit. Now health agencies are still investigating the possibility of other sources as well. The 5-year-old Lowndes County girl who was infected was not hospitalized and is at home doing well. Salmonella causes diarrhea, fever, cramps and can be fatal. As of now, none of the cases have been reported in Florida.

Also, it's probably not the first thing you notice when you pour yourself a tall one... But a new study by British researchers suggests the shape of a person's beer glass may affect how fast they drink it. The research suggests that people drink their brews faster out of curved glasses than straight ones. But the study also finds those who soak up their suds in curved glasses drink them on average four minutes faster than the straight glasses. Researchers believe the curved glasses make it harder to pace yourself, because it's more difficult to determine how much you've actually had.
