September 20, 2012 - A new study shows marijuana use may increase the risk of testicular cancer. Researchers at the University of Southern California found men who used the drug on a regular basis were twice as likely to develop an aggressive form of the disease. They also looked at cocaine use and found men who took the drug actually lowered their risk. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men under 45.

Also, Australian researchers say effective training techniques to help infants sleep are safe in the long run. The study looked at two methods, one involves parents briefly checking in the room when their child cries and with the other technique, a parent sits with the baby then slowly leaves the room. Doctors followed up with the kids when they turned 6. They found sleep trained children had the same behavior and emotional health as other kids.
