July 18, 2012 - The discovery of an immune molecule could lead to new treatments for skin cancer. Boston researchers gave mice with melanoma a cell called TH 9 and it kept the cancer from growing. Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer and doctors say studies involving TH 9 now need to be done on people.

Also, according to a new study, most kids aren't getting enough physical education. A University of Georgia professor looked at schools in all 50 states. He found most schools are coming up short with PE guidelines. In fact, he says only six states implemented enough gym time for elementary school students. He says no states had strong enough regulations at the high school level. Professor McCullick says the pressure to raise standardized test scores may be to blame. He says schools may be cutting PE time so students have more time to hit the books. Right now, there are no federal guidelines for PE.
