Local Hospital Awarded An 'A'

TALLAHASSEE, FL ---- June 7, 2012

Capital Regional Medical Center was given the highest grade when it comes to patient safety.

The study was run by the independent nonprofit 'The Leapfrog Group. The hospitals were assigned an A, B, C, D or F for their safety. The study looked at publicly available data on patient injuries, medical and medication errors and infections.

"These measures are done on a quarterly basis," said chief nursing officer Ann Smith. "We actually look at these concurrently, many of these measures, from hand hygiene to core measures."

Tallahassee Memorial Hospital was given a 'C' grade.

They don't know how to fill the paper work. I went to them and they filled out the paper work wrong. BCBS told them how to fill out the paper work and they could not do it right so i had to pay them 400.00 out of my pocket that I shouldn't had to pay. I will not be using them again this was my first and last time

I was there for a week it was the worst experience of my life, I have a great HMO, I honestly was shoved back in a room and hardly ever checked on, I saw a different doctor everyday, Im not on here just to bash this facility I'm sure there are plenty of good nurses and some doctors that work there but I truly felt like the whole facility was a scam and all of the money was put in the building and not the actual employees, I will never go there again, in fact I have a a card in my wallet that states "If in need of medical care please take to TMH".

My experience with CApital Medical is awful. I would give them an F in terms of competency and customer service. I will never use this facility anymore.

Do a study on how quickly patients are pushed out the door toward TMH when it's discovered they aren't insured. Guess their oath only applies to some patients.

From personal experience I know this to be true. I've been to Capital Regional two times, both were horrible experinces. I promise you I will never go there again.

Its all about the money with these people. I would like to see what they based this on. My husband passed away in this hospital needlessly. Please keep an eye on the care they provide to your loved ones......
