Italian and Swiss researchers studied cancer deaths in the twenty-seven country block. They estimate nearly one-point-three millon people will die of cancer in the EU this year. Women are more likely than men to die from the diseases. Breast cancer remains the leading cause of female cancer deaths in the EU. Lung cancer kills more men in that area than any other type.
