In today's Health Matters, there's an app out that appears to help therapist work with people suffering with auditory disorders.
For many children and even adults, hearing loud or intense noises is startling. But for those with auditory processing disorder, it can be debilitating.
An occupational therapist in New York started the electronic auditory stimulation effect or ease program ease program. It works by constantly playing sounds at a variety of volumes and intensity levels while the child completes normal therapeutic activities.
Therapists can change the settings of the ease program to fit the needs of each individual child and by using the new Ease App you can receive a detailed report via e-mail after each session.
The Ease App is catching on all over the world and getting big results.
