Tallahassee, FL -- We've watched Matt Dobson grow up on the football field.

"I've always loved football. It's always been a dream to play high school football."

He started as a second team all-state selection as a seventh grader at Aucilla Christian and finished as a two time state champion with NFC.

"I remember thinking that's what I wanted to do. Working hard to get to where I'm at today. It feels like a long time ago but when I look back it's gone by quick."

The next stop football is taking him is in Statesboro, Georgia where he'll remain an Eagle, but with Georgia Southern.

Dobson adds, "I feel like there is a good chance to go in there and play early and compete for national championships and that's big for me. Give me a chance to win ballgames and compete for championships."

Winning is something he knows well.

"We won one m y freshman year, started out winning one and then going out as a state champion my senior year. Playing with all these guys it meant a lot. To win the seventh one and carry on the great tradition, it's huge."

He'll continue to train at NFC until he graduates.

"I'll start doing the workouts the do up in Georgia Southern and do their workouts and do their conditioning. They'll get that to me and I'll report up there in June."

He plans to major in Education so he can coach football after college.
