Tallahassee, FL -- Lincoln High School has a rich tradition of sending players to major Division one schools. Wide receiver Ralph Andrades continued that this year with his signing with the University of Florida.
"It's a place that I've always wanted to be and now I get to play there."
Ralph has been a Florida fan since Tim Tebow was a Gator. After keeping in touch with the coaching staff throughout the season, they kept him waiting till the very end to find out they were offering him a scholarship.
"They called me earlier in the day so I kind of had an idea that I was going to get the call but I wasn't really sure. It just came at an unexpected time."
It came at 11:15 the night before signing day.
"They're a great SEC school. They're known around the country and just being able to play for them is going to be a blessing."
His offensive coordinator Jaquez Green, a former Gator wide receiver, couldn't have been happier for him.
"I was excited for Ralph. I knew he always wanted to go to the University of Florida. He was real patient with the recruiting process so he finally go this chance to go, I was ecstatic for him. It will be good to see him try and get our receivers back on the right page up there."
They're getting a receiver who tied a school record with 13 touchdowns his senior year as part of the Gators fourth ranked recruiting class.
