Some very lucky elementary school students will start their first day of school with a new outfit and tons of supplies.

The Junior League of Tallahassee hosted their 9th annual kids boutique event Sunday.

The organization chose 120 kids from kindergarten to 5th grade who's families were struggling financially.

Volunteers at the event say an opportunity like this gives the kids a boost of encouragement to do well in school.

"Now they've really got something to look forward to and today they're going to start the year off with a new backpack full of supplies and a new outfit so on the first day they're ready to take on a new year," said Tiffany Vause.

The event was held at Kohls Department Store on Apalachee Parkway.

Actually this was a wonderful event that benefited many children from different walks of life...and no, not just one particular color. These were all deserving children who were extremely grateful to be part of such an amazing opportunity. Please don't ruin such a good thing with your prejudice.

Why wold you post something so hateful? Does it make you feel better as a person? The Junior League does so many good things that benfit children of all ethnicities...black, white or indifferent! Aren't you proud that there are poeple who still care about children and want to make their lives better...even if it is one small, simple thing? Put a little love in your heart, will ya?
