A year long drug investigation lands three people behind bars. Quincy police say they found 252 grams of pure cocaine at 627 South Lincoln Street. A street value of more than $50,000. 26-year-old Teriel Young, who officers say is a major distributor, escaped as officers closed in.

"We believe that this young man [Teriel Young] is responsible for 30 to 40 percent of the drugs that are sold here in Quincy," says Gerald McSwain, Police Chief, Quincy Police Department.

Also found in the bust was a handgun stolen from Winter Haven, Florida and four counterfeit one hundred dollar bills.

Under arrest are Young's sister 28-year-old Sheneka Young, 27-year-old Belton Johnson and 19-year-old Bryan Jordan. Sheneka Young is being held on $50,000 bond. She faces life in prison, as does Teriel.

"This young man, he showed total disregard for the peace and tranquility of that neighborhood over there," adds McSwain.

i feel that teriel is not only person who is a drug lord. everyday i see drugs being sold. i mean what is the big deal. people are trying to make money. you hardly hear about anyone dying from it unless they are over dosing. some people cant get 9-5 like other can because of their records. if i was in the same situation, i probaly do a liitle hustleling just to make some money. its not the people fault for the drugs. its the big heads who is represnting us. i aint afraid to telthe mayor, commmissioners, anyone who reperesnt us. i aint even scared to tell the governor that he and his followers are the reason why drugs are taking over. frankly i dont care how you make your money. i feel that if you need money make it. i dont see no one helping the people in my community or anywhere else. so to people who sell, make your money partner. i aint mad at you.

If you and 3 of your friends steal a piece of candy, and you are the only one that gets caught. Why in the hell would you tell on them because you are in trouble. Teriel sold drugs because thats what he wanted to do, no one put a gun to his head and said Teriel sell this. You all should stop placing the blame on others and place it where it is due. If those people are doing all this there day will come. Ya'll need to stop being crabs in a bucket, tearing each other down. God sees everything. Ya'll need to pray!!!!!!!!

Tom, More now than ever drug related crimes have been coming to a halt. Sheriff Young is expiditiously cleaning the streets. Maybe you were not paying attention when Mr.Woodham was in office but, things are a lot better. Moreover, this investigation is being handled by the Quincy Police Department not the County Sheriff. Do your homework next time. Through out the few years God has blessed be to be here, I have observed in most instances the characteristics we don't like in others are the ones we hate about our selves. Furthermore, being that U think Sheriff Young has something to do with this suspect's disappearance challenges his integrity. This leads me to believe that U are a dishonest. I'll tell U Y. Usually when one analyzes a situation one tends to think others would do the same as they would in a given situation. So, if someone you knew commited a crime and you were in our sheriff's position, we know what U would do. We need more people like Sheriff Young and less like you.:)
