Ralph Nader is back on the ballot in Florida thanks to some legal maneuvering by Secretary of State Glenda Hood.
Last week, Tallahassee Circuit Judge Kevin Davey ruled that Nader should not be on the ballot because he didn’t meet the legal requirements, but Hood went back to court to thwart that ruling.
“We have filed an appeal and what that does is that stays the decision that was made by Judge Davey last week. Everyone should really be outraged at what Judge Davey did. He has absolutely delayed people’s ability to have their day in court,” said Secretary of State Glenda Hood.
Hood denies there were any political motivations in the legal maneuvering. For now, Nader’s name is back on the ballot, but the legal challenges continue and we're told it’s not a done deal.
