God bless Jerry Lewis. It is sad to see him sitting most of the show, because when younger & more physically able, HE was his own BEST entertainment of the show! Great comedian in his day...good, clean jokes & skits without all the "trash." Great guy, HUGE heart. He's still hanging in there and I respect that a lot. He's contributed so much of himself to MDA. Way to go, Jerry! Hey, think you could come up with an effective way for a Telethon for the NATIONAL DEBT? People respond to you! Anyone could do it, you could!

This is one of the best organications out there. If you want your money to go somewhere it will do good, then this is one of them. I truly believe in MDA. Otherwise, do what I do on occasion - just give some money to someone begging on the street, it goes to that individual, they can use it as they see fit and you know it is not shared with anyone else. I often do this, it makes me feel better that I can help someone, but the MDA also make me feel better than I can be a part of something that has been making wonderful strides in research and treatment os horrible diseases over the past 40 years. Or if you so feel like it, give it to your church, which usually just benefits your pastor.

Why waste your money? Most of it goes to production and program costs. Go on line and find medical research labs that are reseaching cures and give to them! You just paid to watch enterainmnet!
